I was in the UPS store yesterday and the pregnant clerk was talking to a lady pregnant with twins. They were both lamenting that they were expecting girls again, saying how they and their husbands had asked the ultrasound technicians to "please, check again." It was really sad--I left with my kids as quickly as possible. Fortunately Eliza and Micah didn't notice, so I didn't have to explain crap like that to them so early in life.
Someone sent me this adorable video with the title, "Are women born this way?" Whether we are or not, this girl and-- maybe her dad?-- are so sweet. I love her little hand gestures and his attentive nodding and smiling.

Yeah it always bothers me too. Even if they say, "yeah, we're disappointed to have a _____". There are some people who can not have kids out there. I think we all just need to be thankful for what we have. Children are a blessing no matter what sex. I'm thankful your kids didn't hear it. That would have been a hard one to explain. The video was cute. Thanks for sharing.
