- (Talking to her friend about a late-night playdate)--"You can bring anything you want, except alcohol and cigarettes."
- (After a long winding road, with me beside the car leaning into the bushes)--"Mom, do you need to puke? Because it would be really bad for the animals if you puked."
- "Mom, I think you'll die before me--unless I get run over by a car."
- "Sometimes I wish I had a boyfriend to clean up my breakfast dishes."
