So Blind Pilot played the Urban Lounge on Monday. It was fantastic live! They are simply MAGNETIC. If you like indie-pop at all, you have to check them out on iTunes or pandora.com, or pretty much anywhere these days. This is their first real national tour; last summer they did that bike tour down the West coast. Hauled everything on their bikes.
The band stayed at our house. It was so much fun, and a great distraction for the kids, since I've been laying around with my leg up because of the surgery. Lucky Eliza, Micah and Sarah got bedtime serenades and everything. Thanks so much for coming, guys! It made me feel so alive to be around those young whipper-snapper dream-chasers.
Story Time with Blind Pilot. (l-r) Israel, Ryan, Katie, Eliza, Luke, Micah, Ian standing, Dave.
It was dark, so my little camera didn't capture much. Thanks to crazy Christine for coming to an 11:45pm performance with me! Ash had a cold, so he went to bed early.
My bro Kevin, Israel, and me. I'm sitting because of my gimpy leg. Oh, how I love my pain pills.
