The kids got a big kick out of this wasp nest we sprayed down. There were still...larvae? pupa? I have no idea what immature wasp bodies are called, but they were still trying to wiggle out of their little holes. And they loved the mammoth moth we found by our front door.

I am pretty sure it is called a Hummingbird Moth. We saw a pair of them one evening enjoying some flowers. Shaun was so thrilled cause he thought they were Hummingbirds. Well, I sneeked up close & realized they had little antenas. So, we looked on the internet & determined they were Hummingbird Moths. The one in your picture looks exactly like the ones we were watching. They were pretty fun fun to watch! They were not afraid of us being close.
